I am an experienced communication professional specializing in the content development and presentation of technical, training, and marketing tools.

After two years as a journalist, I worked for eight years at a technology firm where I added complex technical writing responsibilities to my marketing, advertising, and public relations role. Drawing off my creativity and curiosity, I expanded my competencies to graphic design and Web development.

For the past five years I have operated Catalpa Communications, a successful independent communication consultancy with local clients in metro Detroit, Michigan and across the country. I hold a BA in English from Purdue University and an MA in organizational communication from Wayne State University.
